This nightmare has just begun and it’s up to you to get to the bottom of what happened here. That means any action you take, whether it be reloading or digging through your inventory, gives the Necromorphs a perfect opportunity to attack. Switch things up with alternate fire modes, and purchase upgrades to increase ammo, power, and reload speed. Send horizontal or vertical blasts of energy at enemies with the Plasma Cutter, remotely control a high-speed sawblade with the Disc Ripper, and fill hallways with wide swaths of destruction with the Line Gun. There aren't many traditional firearms aboard the Ishimura, but there's plenty of stopping power in Isaac's toolkit. In my opinion the DLC ruins the game for Dead Space 1, this is why I bought this game from EA/Origin. To survive, you'll need to dismember their insect-like limbs, one at a time. I dont know about if the dlc is available for Dead Space 2, but the DLC is available for Dead Space 1, only if your purchase the game from Steam. Headshots do about as much damage to them as flicking rubber bands. The Necromorphs are unlike any enemies you've seen before. Fortunately, your offense is equally unique, as the high-powered mining tools at your disposal provide the means to fight against the threat. The undead have become Necromorphs horrific zombie-alien hybrids that won't succumb to traditional means.

Luckily, by owning the game on Steam, EA will grant you a free copy of Dead Space 2 on Origin, and the Origin version does not have all the DLC unlocked, so thats always nice. The steam version of this game for some reason unlocks all the downloadable content that was released for dead space 2 for free. You are, however, the last line of defense between the remaining living crew and deadly reanimated corpses. Dead Space 2: The Steam version of Dead Space 2 has all the armor pack and weapons pack DLC unlocked from the start, and yes, that messes up the game quite significantly. Havent located any purchase history but I do plan on finding it if I can. Would like to aquire those packs for the backwards compatibility. For some reason only one DLC carried over.
